Who We Are
We are independent research analysts focused on making European research funding data accessible and transparent. Our goal is to provide clear, defensible rankings based solely on official European Commission data.
Why We Built This
Horizon Europe is the European Union's largest research and innovation program, with a budget of over €95 billion. Understanding which institutions are most active in this program provides valuable insights into European research networks and collaboration patterns.
However, most existing rankings rely on proprietary methodologies, subjective weighting, or incomplete data. We built this platform to provide:
- 100% transparency: All data comes from official CORDIS sources
- Reproducible methodology: Anyone can verify our calculations
- No hidden adjustments: Rankings reflect raw data aggregation
- Clear disclaimers: We explicitly state what these rankings measure (and don't measure)
Our mission is to make research funding data accessible, transparent, and useful for researchers, policymakers, and anyone interested in understanding European research networks.
Data Updates
Rankings are updated once per month based on the latest CORDIS data releases from the European Commission. We process the official CSV files and recalculate all rankings to ensure accuracy and currency.
